                                        Facts about Trees!

The average tree in a metropolitan area survives only about 8 years.

The death of one 70 year old tree would return over three tons of carbon to the atmosphere.

A tree does not reach its most productive stage of carbon storage for about 10 years.

Trees lower air temperature by evaporating water in their leaves

Text Box: Grandparent’s Day is September 7th!
Ask a parent to help you.

Make them a
Twig Frame!

Supplies:
Twigs, Twine or string, Glue ( hot glue works well) and a favorite photo of yourself.

Collect 2 bunches of twigs. One bunch (about 6-8) should be about 2 inches longer than you photo. The other bunch of twigs should be about 2 inches wider than your photo.

Arrange the twigs so they surround your photo and extend outward about an inch in each direction. Tie the twigs at each corner making an “x” pattern.

Glue the photo onto the back of your frame.

Make a loop of string and glue to the top as a hanger. You are all done!
